Repo ("we," "our," or "the app") is an expense tracking and budgeting application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Repo, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

When you create a Repo account, we collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (handled securely — we never see or store your password in plain text; authentication is managed by Firebase Authentication).
• Google account information (only if you sign in with Google): your name, email address, and profile photo, as provided by Google.
• Financial data you enter: expense amounts, categories, dates, notes, budgets, savings goals, and related information you add while using the app. This data is entirely user-generated — we do not connect to your bank, card, or any financial institution.
• App preferences: settings such as currency, theme (light/dark), and notification preferences.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To sync your data securely across the devices you use
• To show you your own spending summaries, budgets, and analytics within the app
• To send optional notifications you've enabled (e.g., daily reminders, budget alerts)
• To maintain and improve the app's functionality and reliability

We do not sell your data. We do not use your financial data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Repo uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore Database) — used to securely manage sign-in and store your account data. Firebase's own privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
• Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides us your basic profile information (name, email) as permitted by your Google account settings.

These providers may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, in accordance with their own security and privacy standards.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google's Firebase Firestore database and is only accessible to your authenticated account. Access to your data is restricted through security rules that ensure only you can read or write your own information. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices & Rights

• Access and edit: you can view and edit all your data directly within the app at any time.
• Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time — see below.
• Notifications: you can turn any notification type on or off from the Profile screen.
• Export: you can export your expense data to an Excel file at any time from within the app.

Delete Your Account & Data

You can permanently delete your Repo account and all data associated with it — including your profile, expenses, budgets, categories, and savings goals — at any time.

If you no longer have the app installed and need your account and data deleted, email us at yashwant28000@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. No backup copy of your data is retained after deletion.

Children's Privacy

Repo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Repo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
